We would like to welcome you and inform you of our Earnings Tax Ordinance. Cheviot has a 2% earnings tax, and all city residents, landlords and business owners must file a Cheviot Tax Return annually, whether they owe taxes or not. Employed residents are required to provide copies of W-2's, 1099's and Federal Schedules, when filing a return. Retired residents need only indicate that they are retired and have no earned income.

Landlords are required by Ordinance to notify the Tax Office when a tenant moves in or moves out.

Cheviot Tax Ordinance allows a credit of up to 2% for resident's income that is earned and taxed outside the City of Cheviot.
