Cheviot Listed as one of the 25 Safest Cities in Ohio
Description: LendEDU recently released a report highlighting the safest cities in each state. Cheviot is ranked as one of the safest cities in Ohio.
Cheviot has a crime index that makes it the #21 safest city in Ohio for communities above 5,000 in population. Mayor Sam Keller says, “I’m very proud of Cheviot’s safety service departments that work to make our community a great and safe place to live – Cheviot Police Department, Cheviot Fire Department, and Public Works Department.”
Using licensed data from Onboard Informatics, each city’s crime index was rated against the state and national average crime index. The total crime risk score is a stand-alone statistic provided by Onboard Informatics and indicates the combined risk of rape, murder, burglary, assault, robbery, larceny, and vehicle theft compared to the national average of 100.
