American Legion Honors
Cheviot Firefighter

The American Legion Post 425 of Cheviot presented City of Cheviot part time firefighter-EMT James Stahley with the 2008 Firefighter of the year award.

Jim has been employed for the Cheviot Fire Department since 1/21/2000. He is also a long time member of the Ohio Army National Guard and has given over 20 years service to our country in active and reserve roles for the Navy and National Guard. Twice in the last few years Jim has been activated for active duty and most recently served a year in Iraq. After each deployment, Jim returns to his post here at Cheviot and takes up his duties serving our community. A well deserved award. Congratulations to Jim.
